Augustus

Augustus loves the web, writing, television and surfing waves when it’s freezing outside. Childhood dream: becoming a pirate. Result: loves adrenaline and adventure. Augustus has a MA degree in Media and Cultural studies and over the years specialized in new media, trends and popular culture.

Work

Augustus worked for a television production company for a couple of years, first as commercial editor, later as creative. In 2009 he produced and directed the documentary ‘the Dogs of Spain’. Currently Augustus freelances and does all kinds of cool stuff; media and editorial production, brand research, social media                                monitoring and marketing.

Surfing

Holland might not be famous for its waves but when all the elements come together it can get as good as anywhere. And when it’s flat Augustus is surfing online, planning the next surftrip. Loves France, Portugal and Indonesia.

Tech the Future

Augustus writes for   Tech the Future, a blog on technology and sustainability he built and maintains together with former classmate David Graus. In 2010 Tech the Future started a partnership with international technology magazine Elektor.

August.us is an online collection of things Augustus does and likes. He regularly posts columns on media and everyday life. This blog also collects parts of Augustus’ online life; phone snaps he uploads to Picasa, videos he uploads to Youtube and his Tweets.
